Abstract: An increase in the ratio of free cholesterol/phospholipids as well as in proportional content of oleic and linoleic acids were observed in lecithins of high density lipoproteins (HDL) from the 409-59 years old patients with hyper-alpha-lipoproteinemia. Activity of lecithine-cholesterol acyltransferase was also increased in blood plasma while the HDL cholesterol content increased. The data obtained suggest alterations in physicochemical properties of HDL and their effect on lecithine-cholesterol acyltransferase activity under conditions of hyper-alpha-lipoproteinemia.
