Relationship of insulin-stimulated ATP formation to insulin action on creatine accumulation in plasma membrane-enriched particles of rat skeletal muscles

Abstract: ATP accumulated in the enriched with cytoplasmic membranes particles, isolated from rat skeletal muscles, after incubation of the particles in the medium containing insulin. After boiling in a water-bath of the particulate fraction supernatants, incubated in the presence of insulin, total content of creatine was increased in the particles and the content of 1-14C creatine in the medium was decreased.
