Abstract: Fibrinolytic activity was studied in the renal vein of rats after electroshock. Electroshock increased distinctly the fibrinolytic activity in all parts of the venous system. The level of plasminogen activator was increased more in the renal vein and in the vena cava inferior, than in the jugular vein. In electroshock fibrinolytic activity was decreased 2-fold in kidney cortex; in the medullar layer of kidney it was unaltered.
