Abstract: A pesticide tetramethylthiuram disulfide, administered per os at doses of 1/10 and 1/5 LD50 within 5 days, inhibited the activity of proteolytic system in liver and kidney lysosomes as well as impaired the lysosomal membrane structure in these tissues. Glucagon, injected simultaneously with the pesticide, prevented its inhibitory effect on lysosomal proteinases but did not affect the enzymatic activity in unsedimented fraction and in blood serum.
