Abstract: Patterns of hemoproteins turnover were studied in microsomal and mitochondrial fractions of liver tissue of guinea pigs with various duration of hexenal sleep; these patterns were calculated by means of modified procedure involving incorporation of 14C-aminolevulinic acid. Increase in turnover of microsomal cytochromes corresponded to decrease of their content in animals with short-term sleep simultaneously with a decrease in the lethal index after sensitization by means of ovalbumin
