Abstract: An ointment containing, 1% morikrase (a complex of proteinases isolated from hepatopancreatic tissues of king crab Paralithodes camtschatica) exhibited the wound healing properties and did not irritate the skin tissues during long-term treatments of rats. Only slight hypocoagulation was observed in intact animals after external application of the ointment. At the same time, the drug caused an increase in fibrinolytic activity in blood of rats with purulent wounds due to activation of the plasminogen activator.
