Abstract: The lipid composition of high density lipoproteins was studiedin 53 patients with various forms of hereditaryhyperlipoproteinemia. 20 healthy individuals formed controlgroup. One-dimensional thin-layer chromatography on silica gelwith two solvent systems was used to separate lipid fractions ofhigh density lipoproteins. Ten fracions were identified: fourphospholipids (phosphatidylcholine, lysophosphatidylcholine,sphingomyelin, phosphatidylethanolamine) mono-, di-, andtriglycerides, free cholesterol, cholesterol esters and freefatty acids. Proportion of HDL phospholipid and cholesterolfraction got by Shimadzu (CS-930) chromato-scanner corresponds todata received with the use of traditional methods. Comparison ofhigh density lipoproteins lipid classes proportions for theindividuals with normo- and hyperlipoproteinemia demonstratesincrease of lysophosphatidylcholine and decrease ofphoshatidylethanolamine for all hereditary hyperlipoproteinemiaforms investigated in the study.
