The use of computer morphodensitometry in modern molecular-diagnostic practice

Abstract: Technologies based on the use of polymerase chain reaction, inparticular IS PCR are widely used now. However, wide introductionin clinico-laboratory practice of these methods requires:increase of reliability of the accepted decisions, improvement ofthe image for revealing more fine distinctions of objects,increase of quality of the obtained information, automatedregistration of results of the analysis. The application oforiginal digital image analysis, adapted to specificity ofbiomedical objects -morphodensitometry -allows to solvesuccessfully the following tasks: to optimisze conditions of ISPCR realisation on the basis of use of quantitativeopticogeometrical parameters, quantitatively andsubpopulistically to characterize a degree of infected cells withviral infection, and also nucleuses of cells, that is especiallyactual for introduction of molecular - genetic methods in clinicodiagnostic practice and, automatically to register results of theanalysis. Thus, employment of morphodensitometry can be veryimportant in genediagnostic and also gene therapy.
