Regulation of serum ceruloplasmin activity in women with gynecological tumors

Abstract: Serum ceruloplasmin (CP) and anti-CP antibody levels were studied by the oxidase methodin 18 healthy women and in 86 women with gynecological tumors. The resultsdemonstrate that: 1) Serum CP concentrationsincreased in endometrial and ovarian cancer, in benign ovarian tumors and to a lesserextent in mioma of uterus. 2) Serum CPantibodies were found out in both benign tumors and cancer cases. 3) There was positivelinear correlation betweenserum levels of CP and anti-CP-antibodies in endometrial andovarian cancers, and in benign ovarian tumors.
