Abstract: Experiments on albino rats revealed that activation or suppression of lipid peroxidation are accompanied by increase or decrease of intravascular blood coagulation. Altered lipid peroxidation influences platelet activity and this influences the rate of intravascular blood coagulation. It is possible that antioxidants may be used for correction of hemostasis under pathological conditions characterized by increased lipid peroxidation.
