The influence of acute morphine intoxication on glycolytic enzymes in liver has been investigated. The most significant changes were found under the action of the drug in the dose of 10 mg/kg. We also studied in vitro action of morphine in the concentrations 1, 10 and 50 μg/ml on the key glycolytic enzymes activities in rat liver. The direct dose-dependent inhibition of the glycokinase activity was shown. The changes in functional state of carbohydrate metabolism accompany hormonal imbalance in the animal bodies.
