Therapeutic effect of parlodel in resistant depressions and its relation to the effect of dopamine metabolism

Effect of dopamine agonist Parlodel in treatment of different types of depressions was investigated. Parlodel was found to have an antidepressant action which enabled to cure some resistant forms of the disease. The positive therapeutic effect of Parlodel resulted in normalization of dopamine metabolism. The drug can be used for treatment of depressions accompanied by dopamine deficiency and resistant to therapy.
