An increased permeability of kidney lysosomes from indomethacin and cortisone treated rats was found. Aspirin did not induce any changes in the rate of unmasking of latent acid phosphatase. This drug decreased the nonsedimentable catalase activity in kidney homogenates thus indicating an enhanced mechanical resistance of peroxisomes. Antiinflammatory drugs examined were shown to inhibit total catalase activity well expressed only after cortisone administration.
