Contrical was shown to decrease distinctly the activity of cathepsins A, B, C and D in rat gastric mucosa in situ and in vitro. At the same time, application of contrical as a polymeric complex with glue MK-8 resulted in penetration of the drug into the incubation mixture and led to inhibition of lysosomal proteinases. The data obtained suggest that simultaneous use of contrical and glue MK-8 may serve as an adequate therapeutic approach in local treatment of gastroduodenal ulcers.
