Activity of microsomal oxidation and biochemical characteristics of the sympathico-adrenal system in myocardial ischemia in rats

Overloading of cardiomyocytes with calcium, developed after administration of catecholamines, led to activation of lipid peroxidation in plasmatic membranes, which might cause the myocardium destruction. Alteration of the monoamine oxidase activity appears to be of importance in myocardium impairment.
