Activity of cytochrome P-450-dependent enzymes was decreased in liver microsomes of young and old male rats of mixed population with immunity deficiency, which appears to occur due to absence of thymus regulation of their hormonal status. Partial restoration of the liver microsomal monooxygenases functions was found after correction of the immunity deficiency using calf thymus humoral factor thymosin. Age-related specificity of the immunity response in young and old rats was apparently responsible for dissimilarity in the rate of microsomal enzymes restoration caused by endo- and exogenous substances.
