An immunoenzyme assay is developed for quantitative estimation of placenta specific alpha 1-microglobulin in biological fluids. The assay is more sensitive as compared with immunodiffusion and radioimmunoassays used previously. Concentration of alpha 1-microglobulin in blood serum of men-donors was found to be 7-30 ng/ml and of women--0.50 ng/ml.
