The problems of biosynthesis of coenzyme А, its transport into the mitochondria, and compartmentalization in mammalian cells have been reviewed. CoA pool structure in liver cells and the in myocardium under different pathobiochemical conditionsis discussed. Experimental data which have now been accumulated can be used as a basis for correction of the metabolic disturbances of different ethiology
