A distinct increase in content of gamma- and beta2-globulins was shown by means of polyacrylamide gel disc electrophoresis in blood serum of rats with posthemorrhagic anemia. The increase in content of high molecular weight proteins and the decrease in content of low molecular proteins were observed in the stroma of erythrocytes on incubation of normal red blood cells in blood serum of animals, subjected to loss of blood and also after perfusion of erythrocytes through kidney of the exsanguinated animal.
