A method of immunofixating electrophoresis is used for identification of monoclonic immunoglobulins, i.e. for estimation of heavy chain classes and of light chain types. Optimal conditions for immunofixation were developed. Advantages of immunofixating electrophoresis as compared with immunoelectrophoresis were established. Immunofixating electrophoresis on acetate cellulose films is recommended as a screening test for monoclonic immunoglobulins.
