A peroxisome fraction was isolated from rat liver tissue using hypotonic treatment of mitochondria and lysosomes. In the fraction obtained activity of marker enzymes was studied in various subcellular structures. Content of mitochondria, lysosomes and microsomes in the peroxisome fraction was about 15-20% of the total protein in the fraction. The results of hypotonic treatment of lysosomes and mitochondria are considered. Flotation activity of lysosomes was decreased to 1.16-1.20 g/cm3 after osmotic lysis and elimination of matrix enzymes from these organelles
