Relationship of insulin-stimulated ATP formation to insulin action on creatine accumulation in plasma membrane-enriched particles of rat skeletal muscles

ATP accumulated in the enriched with cytoplasmic membranes particles, isolated from rat skeletal muscles, after incubation of the particles in the medium containing insulin. After boiling in a water-bath of the particulate fraction supernatants, incubated in the presence of insulin, total content of creatine was increased in the particles and the content of 1-14C creatine in the medium was decreased.
